Interesting

Interesting.... (UPDATED)

(Scroll down for updates)
So much hype about Jack McClellan... it's hard to keep up with it all, but thankfully- I have a short cut- I just run by girlchat and see what all the pedophiles are complaining about and whining over. Today, there was a new (okay, ALMOST new) player in the game... although he's been a figure in the last few months of the "Jack Saga".

It's like a bad soap opera that the network just won't cancel.

Tony Zinnanti sent the follow to the moderators address. While we are normally not a messenger service, I feel that he brings up points that deserve to be posted and refuted here.

Also, this will be the last such posting on his behalf. I have suggested that he register a nick and post here directly since he seems to have so much to say to our community. He's responded that he will register later today.

This e-mail is posted with his consent.
Hiya -

How come no one over there ever asked to see the pleadings and orders in the Jack McClellan case? There's a lot of talk and zero questioning as to what really went on. Do you folks believe everything you see in the media? Did you know that I was just fucking with you when I said on CNN that we "thoroughly infiltrated" your blogs and chat rooms. I looked at GC once before saying that.

Let that be a lesson. I was seeing if you would react.

The other irony is that I never even requested that Jack be kept away from kids. It was mentioned in passing, but my proposed order stated that he should be restrained from going to events where the purpose of attendance was surreptitiously taking photos of minors and publishing such photos under the guise of pedophilia. Basically, it was a false light (defamation) and public disclosure of private facts (invasion of privacy) argument.

Also, I have to tell you that I'm disappointed. I corresponded with Lindsay Ashford. Further, I read a thread now and then (just to see if anyone's out to rape the kid - which was stated on another board). She understands the media game. So, she's not bugged by the personal slights, etc. It's the bug on the windshield.

Where the serious dialogue about pedophilia and trans-generational sexual contact? Here, for example, is an interesting and benchmark paper on the issue: http://www.ipce.info/ipceweb/Library/nelson.htm . There is a swath of social and cultural practices well outside of the very artifically imposed age of consent laws that are practiced throughout the world. Why does the board devolve into bitchy snipes rather than some serious conversation? And, this is the so called open minded crowd.

All I get are "statistically" this or "statistically" that.

[edit - paragraph removed]

What a fucken hoot. I caught so much shit from the soccer moms when I went to bat for Jack after the Steve Wilkos taping. They lynch a mentally ill guy on stage. What a horrible fucken thing to do with a human being. But, Jack doesn't help himself. He keeps blabbing to the media and finally implicates himself in this murder case. While a lot of his behavior can be explained by virtue of his mental illness, he is an enigma. He has moments of brilliance. He is tenacious. He is engaging and brutally honest and I think he found some form of society in this crowd. On the other hand, it appears that a lot of people here could give a fuck about Jack McClellan as he is the dance boy for the crowd.

Most people - here and in the general public - have no idea of what happened over the last month. It's very ironic that the very crowd that is so critical of mainstream media is so readily accepting of it as the gospel truth.

Start asking questions and stop giving speeches. Those with little more than bitchy snipes are . . . the bug on the windshield. You’re a snotty mess, but you'll never impact the landscape.

The GL crowd had a golden opportunity to present its point of view. People were listening. What happens? You attack a kid. What a cluster fuck.

Many of our laws are ridiculous. For example, in terms of art - what gets put into a photograph is illegal; but if it a rendition in paint, charcoal, pen, etc. it's okay. So, the media of expression protects the child? What kind of crap is that? Further, who is to judge what is art and whose art is worthwhile? No one. Accordingly, the benchmark for legality should be set at the place of harm to the child.

Further, many age of consent laws are a disaster waiting to happen (many of which have unfortunately occurred). While the age of consent is probably low for most to tolerate, the Canadian scheme of age of consent is more realistic than California's draconian age of 18 years. Ironically, in California, in a divorce case, a child can express their preference for which parent to live with if they are "of such age and maturity" to do so. "Such age and maturity" can be four, six, nine or 17. It depends on the kid. Conversely, an 18 year old having sex with a 17 year old subjects that 18 year old to potential serious criminal consequences.

By not engaging in the dialogue, you are solidifying the very antiquated, stodgy, unrealistic and cold Victorian ethic you seek to combat. There are tremendous cultural and legal questions that need to be addressed in this arena. Pedophilia has been a theme in civilization since there was civilization. Don't you think it warrants lucid dialogue?

Well, carry on. If there was some serious discussion going on, I would join the party. But, we'll have to see.

The mainstay of my practice is criminal defense. Try and imagine the issues and personalities I deal with on a daily basis. Bianca has been there for much of it. So, a little taste of the real world hardly hurts.

Okay - bitchy snipes or something of substance? Ball is in your court . . .

There you have it. Hopefully he will be on later today to respond to your criticisms (as I'm sure there are many). Note that I have removed only one paragraph from this e-mail and that's because it dove into personal aspects of Jack's life that he has not chosen to share publicly with this community.

I can't even start to respond to that.

So, moving on. Yesterday I was sicken to read a article by Judy McGuire of the Seattle Weekly. To be perfectly honest- someone should have found this woman MONTHS ago. She keeps a DateGirl column in the paper... although to be frank, I've only read two of her pieces, one yesterday and then another today.

from yesterday:

But about three years ago, I received a letter from a pedophile. This guy had written me many times before, mostly droning on about his hooker habit (he even had a Web site devoted to his hobby). His letters were super-creepy, and the intense, psychotic loathing he professed for the sex workers he regularly hired was so palpable, I wondered if he was a serial killer. But this particular letter was different. This time he told me he'd given up on banging pros and, instead, found himself increasingly drawn to little girls. Gulp.

He wrote, "I don't watch much adult TV anymore because I'm checking out the girls on Nick, Disney, etc. I don't consider myself a pedophile and believe that forcing my man-size penis into a girl-size vagina is an abusive and violent act. However, I see nothing wrong with loving, nurturing touch, like cuddling, kissing, massages, and stroking hair."

Yuck.

At the time, poor Judy didn't know who it was behind the signature "Uncircumcised"... other than someone who seemed to be annoyed that she failed to print previous letters he'd written her, and that he was clearly- sick. Now, years later- she is keenly aware of the fact that her letter writer was our "Pedophile Blogger" that's been in the news so very much.

Her piece yesterday mentioned that she finally did publish a letter from the anonymous writer... and I just couldn't help but try to find it.

Today, I did- I'll Be Taking a Bleach Shower Now, Thanks!.

Read the entire thing if you can take it, but here's a little preview of what he wrote:

I think I've always had this predilection but believe that my psychedelic drug use over the years has helped to liberate it from my subconscious.

Let's blame the drugs... it's always better to blame the drugs.
I'm afraid it might eventually progress beyond that—into Jacko-style sleepovers, showers, full-nude body contact, cunnilingus, etc.

So, even Jack has the same fears that the rest of us do- or at least at one time he did. Whether those fears have slipped away (I'm sure he'd blame drugs for that too) or they've become less of a fear, and more of a hope- we can't really tell. But, it does give us even more insight into the fact that Jack has long been sliding down a dangerous path... and at the end of it is an innocent child who will become his victim.

UPDATE:

On a "wow what a odd turn of events" update, I thought I would tell ya'll that Anthony Zinnanti has started posting at GirlChat. At this point, it seems his posts (not emails posted on there, but actual log in a post type stuff) is mostly focused on kissing ass. Here' a few of the finer comments he has made:

I completely agree that there is no harm from a pedophile admiring a child in a public venue. But, that's hardly what the case was/is about. The primary requested order of restraint was to restrain Jack from attending venues where the primary activity is children's services or entertainment where the attendance was for the purpose of surreptitiously taking photos of minors and publishing them under the guise of pedophilia. ENTIRE POST

Here's the unseen point - a lot of people were seriously angry with the authorities. This presented a dangerous situation. People here were talking about killing Jack. The issue with the authorities arises from an "us versus them" approach. The people here in Santa Clarita were very frustrated and the place - being the breeding factory that it is - has a jillion kids running around. So, when Jack stated that he would come back here, it created a real mob mentality.
[...]
I didn't harbor any ill feelings toward Jack until the UCLA incident. Even then, it was more of a nuisance than any kind of anger. However, when the possible - and I stress "possible" - connection to Adre'anna Jackson's murder was made, I went through the roof. It didn't look good for Jack because of all the things that were being said - by him. Post Here.

And:

I think this subject is tremendously important. To bury it would be wrong. I know that a lot of people that supported me through the Jack case will now reverse their position. Frankly, I really don't care. I'm not running for office, nor do I ever intend to.

This issue exists on a great spectrum of beliefs and cultural practices. It's unfortunate that even the prospect of dialogue give rise to a witch hunt. Here

His chosen nickname? media-gagged.

Sarah Tofte finds it striking...

Sarah Tofte, a researcher for Human rights watch, who we mentioned here, recently went on WYNC New York Public Radio with Pro-Sex Offender Activist Linda Pehrson. Aside from the usual blame gaming you expect from the likes of Linda Perhson and the talk of "Restorative Justice," what we found interesting was a statement made by Sarah Tofte:

"This is a number that always strikes me, that I think people don't pick up on as much, but to me I find this the most striking number. Is that every year, of all new sex crimes, eighty-seven percent of new sex crimes are committed by someone who has no previous sex crimes convictions."

The implication being that 13% of new sex crimes are committed by people who already have been convicted for sexual offenses.

If we were to compare the number of people who are sexual offenders (627,217) with the entire population of the U.S (301,139,947) we'd find that sex offenders make up roughly 0.2% of the entire population.

Going by her own statistics, I wonder what it is that Sarah Tofte finds most striking about her statistic which illustrates that such a tiny percentage of the population is accounting for a disproportionately large percentage of new sex crimes - 13% committed by 0.2% of the population.

Who is Sarah Tofte?

Meet
Terri Lynn Winchell

Have you heard of her?
Or has her name been lost and overshadowed
by the name of the man who murdered her.

On January 8, 1981, Michael Morales strangled her with his belt until it broke. He then hit her in the head with a hammer 23 times, dragged her across a road face down and raped her, finishing off his work by stabbing her in the chest 4 times.

Terri was 17 years old.

For this Morales was sentenced to die. But Sarah Tofte, a "researcher" for Human Rights Watch argued that lethal injection was "cruel and unusual" punishment. Sarah as a student and prison activist once argued for reform. "My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender."

I imagine with that mindset she would be very interested in reforming sex offender laws also. She identifies with the offender. She authored No Easy Answers: Sex Offender Laws in the US
This 146-page report is the first comprehensive study of US sex offender policies, their public safety impact, and the effect they have on former offenders and their families. During two years of investigation for this report, Human Rights Watch researchers conducted over 200 interviews with victims of sexual violence and their relatives, former offenders, law enforcement and government officials, treatment providers, researchers, and child safety advocates.

"Politicians didn't do their homework before enacting these sex offender laws. Instead they have perpetuated myths about sex offenders and failed to deal with the complex realities of sexual violence against children."

"Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world.

We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice.

We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable."

Let's look at some of the recommendations made in this report and then we'll look at what kind of "homework" and research Sarah Tofte did in this "report" sponsored by Human Rights Watch.

Here's a sampling of recommendations:

  • Accountability for those who search online databases should be ensured by requiring the database user to specify the purpose for the search, and to provide his or her name and zip code
  • eliminate public access to online registries of sex offenders
  • Congress should eliminate public access to the national sex offender registry
  • Law enforcement officials should eliminate the use of posters, flyers, and other easily replicable materials to alert communities of the presence of a registered sex offender in their neighborhood
  • Access to sex offender registries should be limited to law enforcement
  • Former offenders should not be required to register with their schools or places of employment
  • No offender who was under the age of 18 at the time of his or her offense should be required to register
  • All provisions of the Adam Walsh Act that deal with state registration and community notification requirements should be repealed
  • If Congress does not repeal the Adam Walsh Act requirements as they pertain to state registration and community notification, states should not adopt the Adam Walsh Act provisions to their registration and community notification laws
  • Neither states nor localities should have residency restriction laws that apply to entire classes of former offenders
It sounds just like the petition to free sex offenders from accountability and abolish age of consent laws, doesn't it? We wrote about that here and here and the issue was wiki'd here.
"Human Rights Watch appreciates the sense of concern and urgency that has prompted these laws. They reflect a deep public yearning for safety in a world that seems increasingly threatening. Every child has the right to live free from violence and sexual abuse. Promoting public safety by holding offenders accountable and by instituting effective crime prevention measures is a core governmental obligation.

Unfortunately, our research reveals that sex offender registration, community notification, and residency restriction laws are ill-considered, poorly crafted, and may cause more harm than good

The evidence is overwhelming, as detailed in this report, that these laws cause great harm to the people subject to them"
So now let's look at her overwhelming evidence. And where she got it. Some of the people included Zman, Daniel Chenault, Johnny Ray Lee, Butch Brown and of course Linda Pehrson. We know Linda from her previous news interview "Just call me Susie" and her inclusion in the audio portion of Sarah's "report". You see, Linda's husband molested her daughter, after serving time in prison Linda let him come back into the home. Linda aka Amy says
I think my daughter’s very strong. I was a battered women’s counselor, for about eight years, and I’m about the strongest woman you’ll ever meet, so it’s not that I’m a weak woman, and I’m a standing by my man kind of gal, cause I’m not, I want to give my daughter all the tools and techniques she needs to empower her to get on with her life, I don’t want her to be a professional victim the rest of her life. I don’t want this to define her.
So Linda Pehrson is a woman who not only stayed with the man who did this to her child, his step-daughter, but advocates bringing children's abusers back into their home with the jazzed up term 'family reunification'. Is this where Sarah got her information?

We know that she wrote to Linda asking for very specific information. In other words she solicited the responses that she wanted. She asked for people who had been victims of vigilantism, she asked for people who were victims of 'restrictive laws', she asked for people who had notification cards. She focused on the states that had the most strict SOR guidelines. She knew the answers she wanted and that's what she set out to get.

This is not a 'study' this is mere journalism. Spin doctored to suit her purpose. She says that in researching this issue she interviewed "122 sex offenders and 90 of their loved ones......and a number of victims" I would like to know how many victims she interviewed .....that weren't also offenders.

It seems she put a lot of weight on the information she got from Linda Pehrson.
Human Rights Watch Needs You

Here is a message from Human Right Watch PLEASE contact them!! Her email is toftes@...

Hi Linda. My name is Sarah. I am a researcher with Human Rights Watch. I am working on a report on sex offender laws, and how they affect convicted sex offenders and their loved ones. We received your e-mail to Human Rights Watch, and I was hoping I might be able to speak with you by phone about your experiences.

Take care,

Sarah

I also was wondering if you have ever seen any good statistics on how many acts of vigilante violence were committed against sex offenders?
Can anyone help Sarah from Human Rights Watch with the info she needs? She is working hard for us! Linda

Hi Linda! I have been in touch with a number of individuals in Georgia and Iowa about the effect zoning laws had on their lives. I understand there are sex offender zoning laws in at least 14 states. I was wondering if you have been in touch with others in states outside of Georgia or Iowa that have been affected by zoning laws.

Take care,

Sarah
Our report is looking less at the propriety of charging juveniles with sex offenses (although we think it is wrong) as much as we are looking at the consequences of sex offender laws
To support our research, we are attempting to locate sex offenders who are struggling to live under restrictive laws. Because Georgia has one of the most exclusive zoning laws in the country, we are focusing on the experiences of sex offenders in Georgia
Your help will be invaluable in our efforts to ensure justice and fair treatment for sex offenders in the U.S. and their families
Re: [roar_4_freedom] Human Rights Organization Begins Investigation of U.S. Sex Offender

The report should be coming out SOON! I was interviewed for this report as well as having a hand behind the scenes helping Sarah Tofte of HRW with the research and contacts. I know of some others here were interviewed as well

Hi Linda. I know you will distribute far and wide. Urge people to comment.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sarah-tofte/sex-offender-laws-may-do-_b_68261.html

I have been working with Sarah since last summer. Her report is going to be complete. I know that for a fact because, I sent her contacts for EVERY aspect of this issue. If she needed people, stats, research and news articles, I was more than happy to help every step of the way!
Linda

HERE we talked about what distorted statistics these people use. The eadvocate website that takes legitimate statistics and twists them and inserts the results of one question into the answer of another. And lo and behold, who did Sarah Tofte reference as one of her sources for this monstrosity she's trying to pass off as 'legitimate research'? None other than eadvocate. In fact the very page she references is one with nothing but defense of pedophilia, denial of the grooming process, and attempts to deceive regarding pedophiles, child molesters and sex offenders in general. Some of the things the blame gamers have to say about eadvocate include
Cheryl: Harvard, Have you looked at the charts on Eadvocate?

Harvard: I'm looking at the tables on eadvocate and turning those into charts. I'm also culling data from various reports

TimF: Harvard, One of my favorite stats is: "96.5% of *new sex offenses* are committed by someone who has never committed a sex offense before!"
Linda Pehrson and Cheryl Griffith aka 'equaljustice2' hijacked Shirley Lowery's SOSEN organization which created a big stir. Zman aka Michael Gregg got all agitated and Betty Price tried to calm him down. It is here that we learn more about Sarah
"Linda and Cheryl have great connections and talk to reporters, Sarah Tofte communicates with sosen on a regular basis. I could go on and on. Staff is organized. We have a great WORKING staff. And boy do they work. They get the same pay as you and me. Dedicated staff, Zman and this is all coming together

The Ohio Rally, both Linda and Cheryl are speakers, Don't tell anybody, but they have are approaching Sarah Tofte to speak at the Rally. There is a big question as to whether her being associated with sex offender advocacy groups might conflict with her position with HRW. I can see a conflict myself. It might be detrimental to the organization.

I said all that to say this. It is VITAL to all sex offender advocacy groups to get it together. No fighting on line. Getting serious about the work we do and and don't allow for anyone to be divisive. It hurts the cause. Big Time."

Indeed.

Kamikaze Jan

Jan Kruska says
"hate doesn’t solve anything, neither does revenge. Hate and vengeance is for the simple minded and it is a cop out. It is taking the easy way out. It is also the fast track to the inevitable next future disaster"
So what's so wrong about that statement? Jan only applies it to people who have sexually offended against others. That's what.
Jan believes:
"While sexual abuse is despicable there are indeed things that are much worse in life"
"those on the sex offender registry have suffered great losses.......the right to live where you want and feel safe in your person and in your home"
"The scarlett [sic] letter is real and is about to be placed squarely on the foreheads of those responsible for this American travesty that is the sex offender registry"
Jan also believes that children don't report when they are abused for fear that their abuser will be removed from the home.

It reminded me so much of someone else. The wacked out mother who showed up on GirlChat recently explaining that her boyfriend got together with her because he was a pedophile and wanted her daughter. He had done it to another woman and her daughter before her. And now after molesting the 10 year old, Frianne is trying to figure out how to hold on to him when he gets out of jail. OMG They all seem to be the same! Look at this grandma, she's upset that her son is in jail. she admits that he did it but says "it was a psychological error on his part" She goes on to say that
"I know he is sorry and will never do it again....He should not have to pay so dearly, he did'nt kill ...and it was the result of the two girls(his) constantly sexually active since 11, and flaunting it in his face, when his wife did'nt like sex, he was in need"
She just fit right into that den at SOSEN didn't she? Even Shirley Lowery agrees as a matter of fact
"I grew up in an abusive home and I kept my mouth shut. Now that I am older and wiser I know without a doubt that I did the right thing then and would do the same again. Virtue has little meaning to a child who likes a roof over their head and food to put in their belly"
But then what can you expect, as she also said:

Poor Pathetic Ignorant Americans

John Walsh has single-handedly destroyed more US children than any other individual in history

Americans can be incredibly stupid.

The Miami police department has set the stage. No action was required but their reaction equaled that of a national crisis. The public has a right to know

John Walsh is not the only person to lose a child under tragic circumstances. He has been in a rage for a quarter of a century. Now we are being asked to pick up an astronomical tab to immortalize his son. I wouldn't give a dime. I learned what manure is a long time ago so I walk around it rather than stepping in it.

Each of us has the capability of being an abuser and many thousands of you are active abusers. How dare you sit back and point your finger and judge yourself as being a better person. You aren’t.

Home of the brave? No, a nation of whimps whose answer to everything is placing the blame elsewhere.

All that talk about blaming and finger pointing led me back a ways. I thought about Jan's religious intolerance. And I thought about her dishonesty and her belief that parents of murdered children are the ones who should be blamed rather than the person who commits the act.
"The common thread with all of these cases is that the parents were living less than, shall we say, good moral lifestyles....."

Sex offenders aren’t born sex offenders. They are created. They are a bi-product of society and the sooner we ALL start taking responsibility the better chance we all have of protecting our kids and having, NO MORE VICTIMS
I believe that these people, the Shirley Lowery’s and Jan Kruska’s and Tom Madison’s don’t know what responsibility is. Tom as CEO of SoClear believes that randomly attacking uninvolved people and knowingly libeling them, accusing them of things which they did not do, is appropriate behavior. He even goes so far as to demean the serious topic of child sexual abuse by calling Jan’s actions a mere game of "sticks ‘n stones”.

The mainstream perception that these people are indifferent and insensitive to the very real abuse that children have suffered is born out by their own actions, and I believe there could hardly be a more blatant example of their remarkable unwillingness to take responsibility for their own conduct. We have dubbed this ‘blame gaming’ but a more proper term would be sociopathic.

And yet, we aren't the only ones bickering with these guys. We aren't the only ones who think these people are wack jobs. Take the case of Erika

p3rl_script wrote to David Coffman, owner of SOSEN about her concerns regarding CEO Shirley Lowery.

"I have decided to withdraw my membership from SOSEN as a result of Shirley's destructive messages and psychotic leadership skills.

She is hurting people and she will drag you and others down with her if allowed to continue, she is severely unstable mentally and has no understanding just how damaging her behavior is when she is allowed to continue inciting nonsense with no consequences for her asinine actions."

And to Shirley herself she says:

"Your one step away from having the FBI on your tail, with the type of content your allowing to be posted and the type of things you write about.

I cannot and will not be associated with the "Illegal" and "unlawful" type of activity your advocating for by encouraging and promoting it on your Yahoo Group SOSEN.

It is extremely stupid and you are placing any one in connection with you and SOSEN in danger of being arrested for whatever the government can get you for in regards to inciting people and encouraging illegal activity in violation of both state and federal laws.

The kind of behavior you are promoting and allowing to occur is EXTREMELY dangerous and self-defeating and I shall take NO part in it.

You have no idea (seemingly) of the harm and damage your doing to the very people you think you are helping! Your like a predator who preys on peoples fears causing them to react.

FOR THE RECORD I AM NO LONGER A MEMBER SOSEN YAHOO GROUPS! AND I DO NOT ENGAGE IN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY"

Erika promptly formed the Families in Social Crisis Legal Defense group.

But she also formed a yahoo group called jessicamarielunsfordfoundation

Using this name she wrote propaganda

and wild rants to newspaper articles

She told us about her past

And linked us to her MySpace

And her profession

And her hobbies

Her needs

All of us here at AZ and in the entire Anti community each have our own reasons for being here. Some of us were sexually abused as children or know someone who was. Some of us came to this due to attacks by online pedophile terrorists. But the common thread that binds us is the obligation we feel.

When someone like a Margie Slagle, an Ohio Attorney and board member of SoClear, mocks child sexual abuse via harassing emails, or when a Jan Kruska mocks a child sexual abuse survivor, some of us just shake our heads in disbelief as we watch her downward spiral. Others say "this will never do"
